‘Till we meet in Heaven

Everyone talks about seeing loved ones again in Heaven.

You see many comments about this on social media, such as: I know you are in Heaven. Or: I can’t wait to see you again in Heaven.

This week, I was watching an interview with the loved one of an artist who passed away some time ago. (I don’t remember the name of this artist; I wasn’t familiar with him). In the interview, his loved one is asked whether he thinks the artist is in Heaven. To which he replies: No, he lived a life far from God, he lived for satan. He exalted satan in his music and manifested violence and death through his channels. So no, I don’t think he’s in Heaven.

This interview has inspired me to write this blog.

We often say that we will see each other again in Heaven. But are you really going to Heaven?

And what are you basing that on?

Is this statement meant as a kind of reassurance to yourself that you are going to a beautiful place in the afterlife? A reassurance that your loved one has found peace?

What we often forget is that the only way to the Father is through Jesus Christ at the moment we accept Him as our Lord and Shepherd. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. 1 John 5:13

Do you think that if our loved ones lived a life far from God, they will be taken up to Heaven? Do you think we will see them again after death?

What do you believe will happen to you after death?

Especially considering your current understanding that the only way to the Father is through Jesus and that we have eternal life in Him?

Do you live for God?

And by that, I do not mean whether you know God, but do you have a relationship with Him?

Through my immediate circle, I hear people discussing accepting Jesus Christ at a later stage of their lives.
Is tomorrow promised to you?
