Years ago, I was part of a church community in Amsterdam. As many of you know, Amsterdam has a Red Light district.
The congregation evangelized at the Red Light District on the Saturday before the church service. In doing so, a number of people who worked here (prostitutes, pimps, dealers) gave their lives to Jesus.
One of the ladies, who gave her heart to Jesus (prostitute), accepted the invitation to attend the church service the next day. (Note: this lady was broken and felt the love of Jesus, therefore she accepted him).
This beloved lady came to our church service Sunday morning in her finest dress. (This dress was incredibly short, just below her buttocks and the top was cut low, so low that you could see her navel).
The lady proudly told us that this was her best dress and that she was glad she finally had an opportunity to wear the dress.
Fast forward to the church service….
The service begins and the preacher is ranting at women who dress like whores; he goes on and appoints that such women do not belong in the church. He keeps referring to the lady’s dress!
Meanwhile, the deacons had already covered the lady’s body with blankets.

Halfway through the service, the preacher began talking directly to the lady and simply insulted her. And calls her a whore by name.
This (broken) lady, who told us before the service about the abuse in her life and the years of addiction she has struggled with and indicated she felt loved for the first time in her life because she accepted Jesus, finally reaches her limit.
She gets up and leaves the room.
(Here 2 things happened).
1. The preacher says: wonderful let this demon leave the church.
2. The lady leaves the hall; in the hall she tells us that she has never felt so condemned and unloved in her life, and for her life this is a fierce statement.
The lady thanks the people who received her with love and leaves the church saying that apparently it was a mistake to accept Jesus because Jesus is not for sinners.
As you can see, the situation does not make sense on any side. First: The preacher knows where the lady came to Jesus and knew what her background was. And should have kept his judgment to himself and remained in the love of Papa God.
Second: With proper guidance, this lady could have learned about Papa God and He could have instructed her under the guidance of the Holy Spirit that her wardrobe should be adjusted.
Conclusion on a long story:
Building our relationship with Papa God is not by works; it is by communion with Him. Actually getting to know Him.
He will lay on your heart what is or is not pleasing to Him.
By this I want to indicate that in the relationship you have with Papa , He will change your heart. He will show you what is good or bad. Don’t let religion dictate your walk.
